Recent news up over at Adrian Belew’s recently reworked website indicates that by early next week, (February 5th, 2007), there will be some additional downloads available via ‘StoreBelew’ in the form of ‘Dust Particles’. Additionally, each of the downloadable ‘Dust Particles’ will be .99¢!

They join the excellent downloadable live recording of the Adrian Belew Power Trio’s ‘Beat Box Guitar’, which went on sale just a few days ago for $2.99. This may seem initially to be a little steep, but I’ve heard nary a complaint from the many people who have downloaded it. In fact, all of the reviews I’ve seen have been incredibly positive, indicating the track was quite well received.

‘Dust’, as many of you may know, is a collection of varied edits, outtakes, ideas and other similar items which Adrian has been collecting during his career, and in the last few years, began to compile with the intention of releasing them.

Be sure to check out Adrian’s new site, HERE!

Yes, that’s right folks, DGMLive.com turned "one years old" today, and to celebrate, they’re giving us the presents, including a free live King Crimson album! How cool is that?

Today they’ve released two new items:

King Crimson Live at Berkeley – August 13th, 1982 – FREE!!!

Robert Fripp Soundscape Compilation – Evensong

Also in the news item is word that they are improving the already quite reasonable audio quality of their MP3 downloads from a standard 128kbps to a variable bitrate which ranges between 192-320kbps. This is in progress for the entire downloadable catalog, but these two items "kick off" the upgraded encoding format. For those into "better than MP3" lossless FLAC encoding, this is still available at a small premium.
