Last week, Ian Wallace, Jody Nardone and Tim Landers recorded eight new arrangements of King Crimson pieces for their second release, the King Crimson Songbook, Volume 2. These pieces span from “The Court of the Crimson King” to “One Time”, with “Inner Garden” featuring Nardone’s CJ3 debut on vocals. The album’s release is slated for this fall.
The CJ3 are also gearing up for a short tour of Europe with shows in Spain and Italy during July, while they are also exploring opportunities to travel for a longer time later this year.
For more information about the KC Songbook, Vol. 2 and Crimson Jazz Trio shows, visit the CJ3 web site.

If you can read this, you’ve made a successful switch to the new Krimson News server. We’re still working on the paint job a bit and rearranging the furniture until we’re completely satisfied, but the news site is up, and the forum and diary pages will follow shortly.
If you find anything broken (except for the diaries, which I’m working on), please e-mail me at admin@krimson-news.com, and I’ll try to fix it up ASAP.
Cheers!

If you’ve read the recent news story about our server maintenance, you might be interested that things are going to work out better than expected.? Our web host informed us that we are currently on an old server they don’t support anymore, and that we would have to move to a brand-new server in order to run the latest Linux version available.
This is good news: instead of having to take down Krimson News for days at a time while we make the changes and reinstall and reimport everything, Krimson News will remain online on the old server while I configure the new box.? When we’re ready to switch over to the new server, there will only be a short down time while the latest changes are backed up and imported to the new system, and at that time you may experience some difficulty finding the new server until the changes propagate through the internet; we’ll post a notice once we switch over, though.
For the time being, enjoy yourself and?post news stories and forum messages.
Thanks for your patience with the downtime we’ve had this morning while I was getting everything ready for the once-pending reinstall!

Pat Mastelotto and Markus Reuter are hard at work on their second TUNER album, “Pole”. You can hear a preview of the song “Black Well Monotony” on their MySpace page; while you’re there, go ahead and leave them a message to tell them your opinion of the snippet!

Centrozoon are celebrating the official release of their youngest album, Angel Liquor, with a free download of the original session recording of the track “Vertigo”. The album’s official release date is, fittingly, Good Friday, April 14, 2006, and to honor the date, Markus Reuter and Bernhard Wöstheinrich are also playing a concert in Münster, Germany. Mark your calendars!
Centrozoon’s original press release:
To celebrate the release of CENTROZOON’s Angel Liquor (14/4/2006, a good Good Friday that is), we’re making a free download of ‘Vertigo (live in the studio)’ available.
Click Here to Download (17+ minutes, about 24 mb)
This is the rough original recording session, sourced directly to 2-track from the soundboard. The multi-track recording was mixed and edited for the album by Bill Munyon.
Thanks to Pat Mastelotto for providing the webspace.
The album can be bought directly from DGM/Inner Knot using this link:
