The Seattle Circle Project, a Guitar Craft based project working out of… well… the Seattle area is embarking on what they describe as their most ambitious season of performance to date. With that, lots of energy, commitment and of course, money has gone into producing their shows at the Capitol Hill Arts Center.
In order to help raise funds towards this effort, they’ve established a Cafe Press store where you can find a variety of clothing, mugs, buttons, magnets, and a wall clock all sporting Tuning The Air imagery.
They encourage, as do I, to help support them in this effort to raise funds… who doesn’t need another coffee mug?
Head to http://www.cafepress.com/TuningTheAir/ to check out the goods, and don’t forget to visit Tuning The Air at the Capitol Hill Arts Center if you are in the area! Shows are every Monday until December 17th at 8PM.

I have to admit that in all the years they’ve been doing this I’ve only gone once, but then the problem for me has always been that the shows are at 8pm on Mondays, and I live out in Redmond and commute into Seattle by bus or else find myself at a work location outside the city.
I think the Capitol Hill location is more convenient, but I wonder if more people would attend if it started at 7pm instead. I know it would be a better time for me.
The new seating layout (as seen in the photo here: http://seattlest.com/2007/11/25/last_chance_for_6.php) seems a little more rigid than the cushions on the floor arrangement at the previous location. It would seem it would make it harder to adjust and reposition oneself during a performance, which seemed to me to be a benefit.
Anyway, I don’t want to do nothing but complain. They do a great job and are definitely worth seeing. I hope to find a way to a show again in the near future.
Fund raiser?
How about some more music, in MP3 downloads… I don’t need another coffee cup.
I am on the east coast and will very likely never make a show, but the music is brilliant.
